Entertainment One (eOne) has licensed the complete Black Label Society (BLS) back catalogue! In addition to the band's last three albums released on eOne, the label has licensed the following albums from the band led by guitar icon Zakk Wylde: Sonic Brew, Stronger Than Death, 1919 Eternal, The Blessed Hellride, Hangover Music Vol. VI, Mafia and Shot to Hell. Fans can expect to see these albums in previously unreleased formats in the coming years. eOne's SVP, Rock, Music, Scott Givens says, "I'm thrilled to expand our collaboration with Zakk and Black Label Society, which now includes all of his previous amazing albums." Black Label Society have also announced a "20 Years of Sonic Brewtality Tour" to coincide with the release of a new version of their legendary 1999 debut LP Sonic Brew, entitled "Sonic Brew - 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 - 5.19". The original recipe with an improved taste, so to speak. "The original 1997 recording has been mastered with high volume, alcohol and dancing," Wylde reports from his home studio. "We went ahead and worked off the existing performances and focused on the high volume and dancing, while replacing the booze with Viagra and anabolic steroids." The new Sonic Brew album will include two new bonus tracks, a band/piano version of "Spoke In The Wheel" and an acoustic version of "Black Pearl." Wylde continues, "I wanted to re-color and re-choreograph this record to make it the most lush and danceable album since Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' took over the dance floor at Studio 54!" The Sonic Brew album was originally released in Japan on October 28, 1998 and featured 13 tracks and a guitar pick by Zakk Wylde. The album was subsequently released in North America on May 4, 1999 and contained three bonus tracks, including a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's "No More Tears", which the band recorded with Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez. Last year, Black Label Society's album Grimmest Hits reached No. 4 on the official Billboard 200 chart. Grimmest Hits, the highest-charting release since 2009's Order Of The Black, also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Music and Independent charts and No. 2 on the Rock Chart. In Germany, Grimmest Hits reached number 21 on the official German chart.
