Alison Krauss, one of America's most original female singer-songwriters, and her band Union Station (Dan Tyminski - guitars, mandolin, vocals, Barry Bales - bass, backing vocals, Ron Block - banjo, guitar, backing vocals and Jerry Douglas - dobro, backing vocals) release their 14th album, Paper Airplane. It is the first album with Union Station in seven years - the previous album , Lonely Runs Both Ways, was released in 2004 and won three Grammy Awards. Singer, violinist and songwriter ALISON KRAUSS was introduced to a wider audience primarily through her collaboration with Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant on their 2007 collaborative album Raising Sand, which garnered a total of six GRAMMYs (including the top prize of Album of the Year). Alison Krauuss & Union Station have also contributed to other projects, most successfully the soundtrack to the Coen Brothers' film O Brother, Where Art Thou? Alison already has 26 Grammy Awards, which puts her in first place among women and third place overall, with only two men ahead of her - Quincy Jones (27) and Georg Solti (31).
