Traffic's self-titled debut album was released in 1968. The album was a blend of rock, blues and folk and was a commercial and critical success. The album reached number 3 on the UK album chart and number 11 on the US album chart. The album's lead single, "Paper Sun", charted at number 5 on the UK singles chart and number 7 on the US singles chart.
