Mariah Carey releases another Christmas album after 16 years! American singer Mariah Carey has decided to build on the huge success of her Christmas album from the 90s and has prepared another album full of classic Christmas carols as well as newly composed festive songs for this year's holidays. Mariah Carey released a Christmas album back in 1994 and had an absolutely phenomenal success back then. The album, entitled "Merry Christmas", sold twelve million copies worldwide and became the most successful Christmas album of all time. The song "All I Want For Christmas Is You", which Mariah wrote for the record at the time, has been one of the biggest classics of the pre-Christmas period ever since and has been a recurring single in the singles charts every year. But on November 15th, Mariah Carey will release a brand new Christmas album called "Merry Christmas II You", which brings another collection of songs inspired by the most beautiful holiday of the year. Mariah has chosen the song "Oh Santa!", composed by Jermaine Dupri, as the pilot swallow from the album. He is also one of the producers of the album. The others are American Idol judge Randy Jackson, prominent American musician and composer James Poyser and American composer Marc Shaiman, who has five Academy Award nominations to his credit in addition to the prestigious Tony and Emmy Awards. "Merry Christmas II You" is a stunning collection of the most beautiful Christmas classics such as "The First Noel," "Little Drummer Boy," "O Little Town Of Bethlehem," and "O Come All Ye Faithful." But of course, among the thirteen songs, we also find the aforementioned hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You," which Mariah has re-recorded and the whole song has received a slightly different arrangement. "Merry Christmas II You" marks the thirteenth studio album for Mariah, which she is releasing after a hiatus of more than a year since her last album "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel", for which she won several platinum awards. She has sold more than 175 million records to date and it's clear that the new album will add some of that million to her account...
