Na rozdíl od většiny LP Boogie Down Productions se zde KRS trochu drží zpátky v producentských povinnostech a k produkci beatů si kromě svých čtyř příspěvků přizval vycházející hvězdy undergroundu, jako jsou DJ Premier, Showbiz a Kid Capri.

Skladba "P Is Still Free" se objevila na soundtracku k filmu "Menace To Society Original Soundtrack" jako béčko. D.P. Skladba "Black Cop" původně vyšla pouze jako 12'' singl, byla součástí soundtracku k filmu "CB4" a je rovněž uvedena jako B. D. P. D.P. Album bylo zařazeno mezi 100 nejlepších rapových alb časopisu The Source a v roce 1993 získalo čtyři "Miky".
