"Flight 666" on vinyl "Flight 666", the soundtrack to Iron Maiden's live documentary of the same name, will be released in 2017 on 180g heavyweight black vinyl. Flight 666" features a total of 16 live tracks from 16 different cities the band visited on their grand "Somewhere Back In Time" tour. In addition to "Flight 666", Iron Maiden and Parlophone Records are releasing eleven more albums from 1990-2015 in chronological order as part of a major vinyl reissue series in 2017. The first of these will be the May 19 studio recordings of "No Prayer For The Dying", "Fear Of The Dark", "The X Factor" and "Virtual XI". "No Prayer For The Dying" and "Fear Of The Dark" will also be released in a limited "Collectors Box" that offers space for other reissues as well as Iron Maiden's new album "The Book Of Souls". This will be followed by "Brave New World", "Rock In Rio (Live)", "Dance Of Death" and "A Matter Of Life And Death" on June 23rd. Last but not least, "Death On The Road (Live)", "Flight 666 (Live)", "The Final Frontier" and "En Vivo! (Live)" will be released on vinyl again on July 21. All reissues are 180g LPs with the original artwork of the first releases. Unlike the first eight albums, which were released in 2014 and mastered from analog master tapes for the reissue, the packaging for the twelve new pressings comes from the 2015 high-resolution remasters. Now finally on vinyl: "Flight 666", the soundtrack to the live documentary of the same name by hard rock legends Iron Maiden.

The "Somewhere Back In Time World Tour" of heavy metal legend Iron Maiden, which took place in three legs from February 2008 to early April 2009, has only just become history, but has already made its mark in the annals of rock music - as the most challenging, most adventurous and most unusual concert tour by a rock band to date. Take for example the first leg in February and March 2008: the band travelled some 80,000 kilometres in 45 days, circled the globe twice, played 23 stadium and arena shows in Asia, Australia, North, Central and South America. This absolutely mammoth schedule was only possible because Iron Maiden now owns its own aircraft, a Boeing 757 modified for the purpose, e.g. 12 tons of stage equipment - "Ed Force One"! At the controls: singer Bruce Dickinson himself! The man not only has a metal trumpet par excellence, but he is also a trained pilot, flying transport aircraft, being a fully qualified and active flight captain of the English airline "Astraeus Airlines" during his time alongside Iron Maiden. The first part of this monumental tour was captured on film by a team led by award-winning documentary filmmakers Sam Dunn and Scot McFaden of Bangers Productions (who also made the films Metal, A Headbanger's Journey and qGlobal Metal). The result is a fascinating, honest and revelatory portrait of one of the most successful rock bands of all time, the first true documentary about the formation, with, of course, spectacular live footage to match. It introduces the viewer to the inner circle of the Iron Maiden family, providing never-before-seen insights, showing the band's travails on the road and raucous fans everywhere, as well as individual leisure activities or even a visit to a bar or two - in fact, the film provides an unrestricted behind-the-scenes look, a real "access to all the rooms". Before its big public premiere, "Flight 666", as the film is called, was screened at the famous SXSW Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Music Documentary. The Blu-ray disc and double-disc DVD contain "Flight 666" (running time 113 minutes) with high-definition video and 5.1 surround sound, with Iron Maiden producer Kevin Sherley responsible for the film. On the other side, there is a complete concert set (running time: 102 minutes) with a total of 16 songs, but each song from a different venue, an almost live collection of Iron Maiden classics and hits with different visual atmospheres: Mumbai, Sydney, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Costa Rica, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, New York, Toronto and more. The double CD and LP contains the entire concert. A MUST HAVE not only for the fans!
